Ibukun Anthony Aruleba, (MBA, CPA, CGA, FCA-Nigeria)

President 

Ibukun has been living in Fort McMurray for the past 14 years. He is the owner of Aruleba Professional Corporation (Chartered Professional Accountant) which he started in Calgary in 2010 before coming to Fort McMurray in 2011 to continue the business. Ibukun is a lover of giving back to the community. He was the Pioneer and Inaugural Chairman of ICAN Canada District Society, President of Nigerian Canadian Association of Fort McMurray(NCAFM), Board Member of Wood Buffalo Community Foundation amongst others. He is looking forward to work with the board members to fulfill the vision of African Heritage Alliance Association.

Rosilita Jn-Pierre

Vice President 

Rosilita Jn-Pierre was born and raised in the Caribbean Island of St. Lucia. Prior to moving to Fort McMurray, Alberta, she resided for many years in Montreal, Quebec. She is a Healthcare leader with over 15 years of experience in a variety of tertiary health settings, about 8 of which in a management capacity.

Rosilita brings a wealth of experience across numerous sectors, but most of all is her desire to serve. She is passionate about causes related to, Mental Health and Addiction, Newcomers, and the support of survivors of Intimate Family Violence.

Her raison d'être is to positively impact the lives of others, the community in which we live, and of society.

Uno Monofi, Bsc (Eng.), Msc (Eng.)

General Secretary

Uno Monofi is a Registered Engineering Professional and a Financial Educator enthusiast. Obtained Master of Engineering from Queen’s University, Ontario and master’s Certificate in Project Management (MCPM) from Memorial University in partnership with York University’s Schulich School of Business, Ontario. Has sat on various boards and volunteered in various capacity across Ontario and Alberta. Served as the Convocation Ambassador and National Country Representative for QUIC / Queen's University International Centre – Queen’s University, Kingston.
He is passionate about service to humanity and community engagement. He was one of the board of directors for Wood Buffalo Housing (WBH) in RMWB, The Hub, Wood Buffalo Community Village (WBCV). Also served as Chair & Vice-Chair of APEGA / Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta, Fort McMurray Branch, Fort McMurray. In addition, he served as the Social Director & PRO of the NCAFM / Nigerian Canadian Association of Fort McMurray and currently serves in the capacity of the President of NCAFM / Nigerian Canadian Association of Fort McMurray. He is an active member of the community and is pleased to serve as a Board member of the African Heritage Alliance Association.

Babatunde Jegede, SCMP®

Treasurer

Babatunde Jegede has engineering background, and he is a Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) with a proven track record of leading procurement and supply chain operations across FMCG and Oil & Gas industries.
Babatunde has attended many professional development courses and conferences in Nigeria, United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Turkey, South Africa and Canada
A past President of the Nigerian Canadian Association of Fort McMurray (NCAFM), a community leader and prolific volunteer in various community activities, He was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal for community service in 2023. He is a member of Supply Chain Canada (SCMA) and Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (IEEE).
He finds it a pleasure to serve on the board of African Heritage Alliance Association of Fort McMurray (AHAA).

Akan Udoeyop, B.Eng.(Hons), M.Sc., C.Eng.

Financial Secretary

Born and raised in Nigeria, Akan had his education in Nigeria, United Kingdom, and Canada. A former resident of Calgary, Akan has made Fort McMurray home since 2010 and has been a witness to the ups-and-downs of this fledging community. When he lost his home in a fire disaster in 2015, the community response was quite touching so much that it reawakened the inherent community service mindfulness that has always been a part of him.
Akan is a former Executive Member of the Nigerian-Canadian Association of Fort McMurray (NCAFM) and continues to be involved in programs that give back to the community. When the AHAA initiative was presented to him, he openly embraced the opportunity to serve and bring the vision to fruition.
Akan is a practicing engineer specializing in Industrial Automation, Functional Safety Engineering, and Industrial Cyber-security. His work experience spans the Oil & Gas industry in Nigeria and Canada.

Simon Akumchi

Public Relations Officer 

Simon Akumchi is a barrister and solicitor, affiliated with the Law Society of Alberta. As the founding lawyer of Sachi Law, a versatile general practice law firm nestled in the heart of downtown Fort McMurray, Simon brings a wealth of legal expertise and a global perspective to his practice. His legal journey began far from Canada, in Cameroon, where he was initially trained. This international background enriches his approach to law, allowing him to offer unique insights and comprehensive legal solutions to his clients.
Beyond his professional achievements, Simon is deeply committed to his community in Fort McMurray. He actively participates in local initiatives and contributes to the enrichment of the community's cultural and social fabric. Simon's dedication to service is mirrored in his personal life, where he cherishes his role as a husband and father.
Simon's association with the African Heritage Alliance Association underscores his commitment to promoting cultural diversity and supporting initiatives that benefit the African community in Alberta. His work, both within the legal field and the community, exemplifies his dedication to justice, family, and heritage.

Andrew Munochemeyi Manyevere (Msc)

Board Adviser

Andrew was born In Southern Africa colonial Settlement of Southern Rhodesia- Africa. He was educated in Rhodesia, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Nigeria and Canada with scholarships from African Union (AU) and Commonwealth. He studied Politics and Administration to master’s level. He also had a certificate in Canadian Immigration. He had varied work experience in human resources, industrial relations and consultancy. Andrew previously served as an executive Director and board member of Multicultural Association of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada and was the past President and board member of Fort McMurray Africa Association (FORMACA). He published his first book in 2023 “THE PASSAGE ONTO THE WAY” a Socio, Spiritual and political conversation inevitable for an African religious child to contextualize life as first and foremost a service to God. Andrew is the Adviser to the board of African Heritage Alliance Association (AHAA).
